Who are you? Where are you from? And what are you doing here?
I am originally from Skaneateles, NY, live in Burlington, VT, and am in New Orleans throughout the year for work.
Meeting new people, laughing and sharing experiences with others are when I feel most connected to the world. Other highlights include running, playing soccer, traveling and enjoying the outdoors. I was an exchange student in Denmark and continue to volunteer with an international exchange program. I am very close with my family, and am so grateful for their love, support and humor.
I love weddings because they are rich with life. I view photography as a form of story telling. By mixing both portraits and candid shots, I put together a narrative archive of your day. The final result tells the complete story of your wedding, capturing portraits, details, family, friends and moments. My pictures are emotional and authentic, because getting married is as real as it gets!
What is your photography style?
I focus on capturing intimate shots that resonate deep emotion. I shoot a lot of in-between moments that create a narrative, revealing the details as well as the highlights.
How would you describe your approach to weddings?
My goal is to capture all of the connections, details, beauty, joyous outbursts, fun, hugs, and fist pumps without taking you out of the moment. Your job is to enjoy your wedding, my job is to capture it. I think being present in life is extremely important for fulfillment. I want my clients to be completely in the moment, not taken out of it to focus on a pose. The best photos are authentic and candid. Its a win-win. I do give direction for portrait shots, however for the most part I am in the periphery, documenting your day as it unfolds.
Did you study photography?
I graduated from Cornell University with a degree in Industrial and Labor Relations...however, I took a beginner film photography class the last semester of my senior year, and found myself totally caught up in the darkroom.
I served as an AmeriCorps Volunteer after college and started photographing our team and blogging. I then began volunteering to shoot events for youth organizations and non-profits (which I still do) in the San Francisco Bay Area. In 2015, a friend's sister asked me if I wanted to shoot her wedding. It went well!

Where do you shoot?
I shoot all over! I love to travel and offer special rates for destination weddings to offset additional travel costs. This year I am shooting in Vermont, Maine, Upstate New York, the Adirondacks, Brooklyn, Tahoe, and New Orleans. I mainly shoot in New Orleans and New England, where I go between Skaneateles, NY and Burlington, VT. All three of these places are incredible and hold special places in my heart. I am from Skaneateles, I have lived in Burlington for almost 3 years, and currently am falling in love with New Orleans. I consider myself very fortunate.
I book weddings nationally and internationally, so please feel free to contact me if you are booking a destination wedding! Looking forward to hearing from you!
